2020 INTERNATIONAL ART CONFERENCE

COVID-19 Update: The Museum of Encaustic Art and the Encaustic Art Institute here in Santa Fe, NM is committed to keeping our community and region safe. As we learn more about the impact of the COVID-19 virus, we actively monitor and implement recommendations from the CDC and local officials.

For the 2020 International Art Conference and workshops: We will be paying close attention to the directions given by the CDC and the Governor’s office.  NM is currently in Phase I and we hope will move to Phase II in July. Currently, 100 or less people can gather, which would allow us to move ahead with the convention/workshops. However, Phase I has a 14-day quarantine for anyone coming to NM by air. We are on hold until we know more about the nature of the roll-out of Phase II. We will be contacting instructors/speakers soon to confirm their participation.  Our city/state is under strict guidelines for re-opening, and we will adhere to all safety regulations of masks, distancing, and disinfecting.  Everything of course is up in the air at this point – we will let you all know as soon as we get the green light.

During the COVID-19 situation, please continue to check our website for updates. We know there’s a lot of uncertainty and fear in the world right now. It is easy to get caught up in the global sense of unease, we know.  We are all in this together, stay safe, and stay balanced. Be mindful of your health and make informed decisions about travel and visitation. If you are traveling to New Mexico by air, check to see if the 14-day quarantine has been revised or lifted. Take time to enjoy the creativity that abounds.  All the best your way, and thank you for all the support.
